WARNINGS & RESTRICTIONS: There are many potential "dangers, toils and snares" on the ranch including, but not limited to, open bodies of water, poisonous snakes, scorpions, spiders, cactus, rocks, vehicles, equipment, livestock and wild animals; therefore, adults must be alert and exercise caution, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
NOTICE: If you have an accident, are injured or bitten, REPORT IT IMMEDIATELY, so that ranch personnel can help you.

 There are many things to do during your stay at The Bar-S Ranch Resort. You can fish, have fun with your kids, have picnics, or take a ride on the local Texas State Railroad
If you like to fish, the Bar-S Ranch Lake is fully stocked with bass, blue gill, catfish, and crappie; there are also perch which are native to the lake. We don't have live bait, but we do provide tackle and there are minnows in the lake. So, come on and cast your line into our lake.
There are things for you and your kids to do together. There is a horseshoe pit and a small playground; there are 22 acres to explore; and there is the Bar-S Ranch Express train for the kids to ride.
The Palestine Depot for the Texas State Railroad Steam Train is only about eight miles from the Bar-S Ranch. It runs year 'round. There are many special event rides throught the year, such as the Polar Express in December.
